Complete Medical Staff
Millinocket Regional Hospital is governed by a 14 member self-appointing Board of Trustees. Three positions are provided by the Medical Staff Executive Committee.

MRH features a strong, cohesive medical staff of Family Practice, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Nurse Practitioners, Orthopedics, Pediatrics and Physician Assistants in full-time practices. Visiting consultants include Cardiology, E.N.T., OB/GYN, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Optometry, Podiatry, Pulmonology, Radiology, and Urology. Physicians are free to operate as solo practice, group practice or hospital employed providers.

Specialized Nursing
Millinocket Regional Hospital provides highly professional and specialized nursing services on a twenty-four hour basis to the residents of the Katahdin region. Each registered professional nurse attends and successfully completes a course in advanced cardiac life support protocols. Nurses working in specialty areas also complete department specific education such as trauma, pediatric, neonatal and nursing core curriculum courses. Nearly fifty percent of the registered nurses hold current certifications at the national level. The areas of nursing disciplines represented include emergency, critical care, medical-surgical and administration.
