Millinocket Regional Hospital has an immediate opening for a full time Accountant.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required. Experience/knowledge of PC-based applications software such as Excel, Access and Word required. Previous healthcare or not-for-profit accounting experience preferred. Must have strong organizational skills, communication skills, competency with numbers, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Main Functions: To maintain a complete and systematic set of records of all financial transactions of the hospital and affiliated organizations to meet internal and external reporting requirements. Functions include monthly journal entry and financial statement preparation, special purpose fund accounting, account reconciliation, tax reporting, audit schedules, daily cash reporting, and data analysis and reporting.
This is a full time position, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
