  • COVID-19 Community Update | August 20, 2020

    Dr. Nirav Shah and the Maine CDC shared the following statistics related to the outbreak in our region.

    • The CDC reported that 32 positives (26 confirmed and 6 probable) have been linked to the August 7th wedding and reception.
    • The median age of the confirmed cases is 42 years old.
    • Those who’ve tested positive range in age from 4 to 78.
    • Seven cases are associated with children under the age of 18.
    • 87% of cases thus far are symptomatic.

    Please note that this information is specific to this particular outbreak and reflects what is known thus far.  It will change as more cases are confirmed.
