With Millinocket Regional Hospital’s new Walk-In care facility in East Millinocket opening on Monday, August 28, two new providers will be on staff ready to serve the Katahdin area community.

Andrea Sewall, FNP-C, studied at Husson College where she specialized in family practice, urgent care, and occupational medicine. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and is also a medical examiner certified by the Federal Motor Carriers Association. Having grown up in Millinocket, Sewall is now living in East Millinocket.

“I am looking forward to practicing in my community again,” she said. Sewall is married with three children; she enjoys, running, traveling, tennis, and being at camp with family.

Sandy Gilbert-Lord, MS, PA-C, received her degree from the University of New England in the Physicians Assistant program. She is board certified with the National Commission on Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA). She has worked in hospitals and family practice settings.

Born and raised in Lewiston, Maine, Gilbert-Lord is married with two grandsons and spent time in Millinocket while she was with the National Health Service Corp from 2009 to 2011. She is very interested in the medical care of ex-research chimpanzees that now reside at Save the Chimps Sanctuary in Florida.

Both Sewall and Gilbert-Lord were planning to attend the open house at the new facility on Tuesday, August 22.
