Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy (OT) is a health and wellness profession enabling people to participate in everyday activities that are individualized and patient specific.  Occupational therapists work with people of all ages who need specialized assistance to lead independent, productive, and satisfying lives due to physical, developmental, social, or emotional problems.

In this profession, the term occupation is defined as a meaningful and purposeful activity that essentially contributes to ones sense of identity. Occupational therapy focuses on the importance of using meaningful occupations in interventions with each client populations in order to increase motivation and success in achieving goals.

Millinocket Regional Hospital’s  OT services cater to pediatrics, adult and geriatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient facilities.
