Located in the Katahdin Region at the base of Baxter State Park, Millinocket Regional Hospital has an opportunity for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Orthopaedic Surgeon. We welcome a fellowship trained Physician who wants to practice general Orthopaedics as well as Sports Medicine.
This position requires the Orthopaedic Surgeon to provide both office and surgical services at two hospitals within the Katahdin Region. Requirements and responsibilities include: physical examination, diagnose and surgical treatment of musculoskeletal diseases and sports-related injuries; perform surgical intervention to immobilize fractures by using such devices as braces, pins, casts and splints; and perform surgical procedures including total hip and total knee replacements, knee and shoulder arthroscopy, fracture repair, tendon repair, sports medicine, and carpal tunnel procedures.
