STERILE PROCESSING TECHNICIAN

MRH has and immediate openings for a Full Time STERILE PROCESSING TECHNICIAN

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Certification in Sterile Processing or willingness to obtain certification within one year of hire.
  2. Proven reliable work experience and attendance.
  3. Must be eager to learn, have a good attitude and passion for safe surgery.
  4. Strong attention to detail; vigilance and meticulous care of instruments and equipment.
  5. Have good judgement and critical thinking skills.
  6. Ability to work will as part of a team and independently.
  7. Must have excellent communication skills.
  8. Maintains a well-organized workplace; uses time and materials wisely.
  9. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30lbs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Candidate must demonstrate competence in the entire scope of sterile processing which includes: collection, inspection, decontamination, assembly, packaging, labeling, sterilization, distribution and monitoring of instruments and equipment, utilizing infection control and safety practices during all phases of the process to promote sate surgery.
  2. Maintain records of sterilization procedures according to product IFU (Instructions for Use).Inspect, test, and maintain an inventory of all instruments; report instrument damage/malfunction and facilitate repairs.
  3. Monitor and safety operate all sterilization equipment.
  4. Document required sterility quality assurance testing,
  5. Report any compromised in sterility to the OR manager.
  6. Communicate and collaborate with medical representatives regarding incoming and outgoing instruments and equipment.

General information:  Full Time, 36 hours per week, Monday – Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Varying days and hours depending on need
